Suck It Up, Because It's All Part & Parcel of Pass the Parcel?

‘Weird’ Bluey episode sparks
huge parenting
debate?
It’s the ABC cartoon that’s almost as beloved by parents as it is by children
I had to laugh when I watched the 'Pass the Parcel' episode of 'Bluey' recently on the ABC free iView streaming service, after reading all of the augments going on between the "woke" crowd and the "old school" crowd about how the game should be played.
I thought it was ironic that when you win in the game of Bingo you have to yell out "Bingo!":-)
I'm with the "old school" crowd on this one, sorry ... not!:-)
The November 22nd, 2021 Courier Mail newspaper
I started watching 'Bluey' again recently after seeing the above newspaper story about how the makers of 'Bluey' were putting Easter Eggs of Brisbane locations in the show, since like me, the makers of 'Bluey' grew up in Brisbane the capital city of the Australian state of Queensland.
Although it would appear that the makers of 'Bluey' grew up on the northside of Brisbane, whereas I grew up on the southside of Brisbane ... or the darkside of Brisbane, as Kev or Tex might tell you in a song:-)
And I started binge watching 'Bluey' after reading that newspaper article about the Brisbane Easter Eggs, but I didn't find many that weren't already highlighted in the newspaper.
One thing I only realized after watching about ten episodes was that Bluey wasn't a boy dog like I had assumed, but is a girl dog:-)
I guess in my "old school" brain blue is for boys, and Bluey sounded like a boy's name to my "old school" ears, after a while I had to look up the Wikipedida article about the show to find out that Bluey and Bingo are sisters:-)
The reason I was binge watching 'Bluey' was I had to go into the city to get a copy of my birth certificate, because apparently if you want to prove who you are to government services they won't take a birth extract as proof anymore, and I wanted to check out what was new in the CBD to me.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas ... and Hanukkah ... in My Hometown?
The new casino and hotels going up in the CBD
Walking from the south-side to the north-side
What I found amusing after reading the newspaper article and after my trip into the city to pay over $50 for a piece of paper to prove that I was born in this town was that Bluey and her family are pictured sitting on a bench in Southbank (on the best side of Brisbane IMO;-) looking towards the Queensland Government building, which now has a massive casino/hotel complex going up not that far away from it.
Casinos will surely give you a lesson on what winning and losing is all about, I reckon:-)

And the Queensland Government/casino/hotel is building a
new bridge to connect the arts complex directly to the gambling complex I see, while on my walk into the city over one of the many old bridges that connect the south-side to the CBD.
The new bridge is named the Neville Bonner Bridge and is a pedestrian bridge named after Neville Bonner AO, Australia’s first Indigenous member of the Parliament of Australia, probably I suspect as a compromise for having to demolish a building that was named after him to make way for the casino/hotel complex going up now?-)

That map above was the map from the
"Department of Births, Deaths, Marriages ... and Divorce" website that I used to figure out my walk to this relatively new building from where I was going to park my car on the day, and I remembered thinking what bridge is that on the map, and when did that go up, as I was over at Southbank a few weeks ago and didn't see a completed new bridge.
Turns out they have announced a premature birth there, I reckon, as there is hardly anything there right now in 2021.
There seems to be
a few parcels being passed around under the tables of parliament methinks;-)

And here is a Black Swan event in a December 13th, 2021 Courier Mail newspaper that got me thinking of the movie 'Red Dog', where a kelpie named Luna saved her owner from being burnt to death in a south-side house fire.

And there was even a picture of the Black Swan herself (love ya Nat:-) reading a 'Bluey' book to her kids in that same December 13th, 2021 Queensland newspaper the day the Queensland border opened to the rest of Australia ironically:-)

I'm gonna have to tell my New South Wales State of Origin mates that if you really want to piss the Queenslanders off on State of Origin nights, wear a Bluey t-shirt and yell out
"GO THE BLUEYS!!!":-)

#13: Just Part and Parcel of Synchronicity?

UPDATE: December 25th, 2021
I decided to get my adult sons Bluey Christmas cards this Christmas:-)
And as any Sharks fan worth their salt will tell you, there's no place like home in these Covid times:-)
