Jackie Robinson Day April 15th

Every Major League Baseball player across the USA and Canada wore the number "42" on April 15, 2013, due to it being the anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in professional baseball. 
 Unfortunately, another sporting event stole most of the limelight from Jackie's day.
The Boston Marathon was turned into a crime scene when bombs went off killing and maiming innocent spectators, turning a lot of them into amputees similar to the famous Olympic athlete  
Oscar Pistorius AKA "The Blade Runner".
It was also Patriot Day in Boston on April 15th.

    I'm out of touch again - never heard of Jackie Robinson previously and know nothing about baseball. Nevertheless interesting, with the 42s thrown in to the mix.

    The movie "42" should be out at the cinema soon,even in Britain.
    So you'll be able to go and view it if you want to..
