I was watching the first Indiana Jones movie on a streaming service the other day in an effort to get up to speed with the franchise before seeing the new movie screening at the cinema when I noticed the call of an Australian kookaburra in the South American jungle in the opening few sequences when Indy enters the temple and leaves it.

Too bad Indy didn't have a kookaburra with him when he was surrounded by snakes in Egypt later on in the film, with his fear of snakes:-)

Kind of synchromystically dark how River Phoenix who played the young Indiana Jones who was scared of snakes in the 1989 (the Year of the Snake) 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' died on October 31st, 1993 outside the Viper Room.

And Sean Connery who played Indiana Jones' father and who was scared of rats in that movie died on October 31st, 2020, the Year of the Rat.

'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' was released in 2008, the Year of the Rat.

I find it amusing that the last movie I saw at the cinema was one starring Jim Broadbent, who also starred in the last Indiana Jones movie, and the next movie I planned to see at the cinema is the new Indiana Jones movie:-)
