Synchronicity-Informed Psychotherapy ... Are You Nuts?-)

Connecting with Coincidence/
Episode 211:

I thought it was rather synchromystic how Bernie and Helen mentioned the songs 'Hotel California', 'If You Could Read My Mind' and 'Do You Believe in Magic' in relation to psychotherapy, synchronicity and spirituality versus rational thinking.
Dr. Beitman mentions the line about the wine from '69 in the song 'Hotel California' and Trickster synchs -
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain,
"
Please bring me my wine"
He said, "We haven't had that
spirit here since nineteen sixty nine"
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device"

"Lightfoot has cited his divorce for inspiring the lyrics, saying they came to him as he was sitting in a vacant Toronto house one summer. At the request of his daughter Ingrid, he performs the lyrics with a slight change now: The line "I'm just trying to understand the feelings that you lack" is altered to "I'm just trying to understand the feelings that we lack." He has said in an interview that the difficulty with writing songs inspired by personal stories is that there is not always the emotional distance and clarity to make lyrical improvements such as the one his daughter suggested."
The [magic?] Lovin' Spoonful?-)
In my last post I mentioned going to see the re-imagined Suicide Squad movie at the cinema, and in that movie Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in both versions of the movie, is being tortured and asked how many troops were involved in the attack.
And she tells them 69 for a laugh:-)
