Robin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) |
I have never watched the movie 'Hook' until this week when I read that it was turning 30 years old this year, plus today (August 11th) is 7 years since Robin Williams took his life. The Secrets of the Soul’s Journey Through Life?

And here is a scene my old mate(?) Chris KnOWLeS might find interesting with all his posts about the siren and suicides?-)
Plus, Dustin Hoffman based the voice of Captain Hook on that of the columnist William F. Buckley.Cursed Songs?

The Fisher King was released in 1991 also:-) |

The kissing couple who begin to float when some fairy dust lands on them were George Lucas and Carrie Fisher in a cameo, apparently.
Which is ironic in hindsight from 2021 considering Peter Pan is frightened to fly from the United States to England in 'Hook' and that Carrie Fisher would stop breathing on a 2016 flight from England to the United States.

A message from Robin through a kookaburra?-) |
Bob Hoskins (Smee) would alleviate stress on-set by singing various versions of the Lionel Richie hit "Hello" by including the lyrics "Hello? Is it Smee you're looking for?"
August 8 is what's known as the Lion's Gate Portal:-) |
This portal opens every year between July 28 and August 12 but August 8 is considered official activation day. |
Sadly, but synchromystically this podcast by Dr. Amy Robbins hit my Apple Podcast list on August 11th and was a talk that Amy was re-posting because her friend and mentor passed away on the weekend around the time of the Lion's Gate Portal I'm guessing and was a talk which mentions people who commit suicide.
Also, I couldn't help thinking how much that arch running off the Neverland island looked like Darwin's Arch, which collapsed into the ocean in 2021 -No man or woman is an island? |

Tootles references Dead Poets Society (1989) when he shouts "Seize the Day!" at the end of this movie.
