I read the Saturday Queensland newspaper and thought if things weren't so serious it would be almost amusing, just like reading the novel 'Catch-22' is darkly funny when we step back and look at this insane planet we are living and dying on.

I'd hate to be growing up as a young person in today's world, as it was bad enough growing up in the late 70s/early 80s I thought. 

Not anymore though, now it's under 60,
 bugger the other Boomers?

I got my first shot of Pfizer on June 28th, when us over 50s, but below 60s were allowed to get the good stuff.

But it took me 3 visits to the Logan Hospital to get it.

I heard on the local news the Thursday before that I might get in as a walk-in, so I went up to the hospital, but was told they weren't taking anymore walk-ins that day and to come back Friday and try my luck, so I arrived there early Friday and was told that the hospital wasn't taking walk-ins anymore and I would have to book.

So I did, and the hospital told me I was booked for around noon on Monday.

Oh, no, my ancient tattoo is now ruined:-)

Everybody likes to wear Lycra/spandex I guess?-)

Once I was walked through the fun-house maze of the interior of the Logan Hospital and shot, I had to sit in the waiting room to be observed for 15 minutes with the rest of the herd eating my free Soylent Green (biscuits) and drinking plastic bottled water.

2021 is driving me batty as the days fly by

Good thing it was still June and not Plastic Free July/Dry July;-)

My 15 minutes of fame ended at 12:34:-)

I laughed when I saw the nurse write 12:34pm as the time I could leave on my observation sticker, because that's the number Mike Clelland tells his followers he pays attention to:-)

So, I folded the sticker up and put it in my wallet, but when I went to unfold it again to snap a photo of it, it was stuck tight, so I had to take two photos and cut and paste them together again in paint.

Hidden Experience: Planet of the Apes/2001/123

When I was leaving the Logan Hospital on Monday after my 1st shot and asked if I could book my 2nd shot in 3 weeks' time, I was told that I would have to book for somewhere else, as they were closing down the vaccinations within 3 weeks' time:-( 

Now that I have booked with somewhere else for my 2nd shot, there is talk that Queensland may be out of Pfizer stocks by then.

Like I said, if things weren't so serious, it would be funny:-(

And if I do end up getting my second shot in July I hope they don't give me water in a plastic bottle. 

That would be the last straw in this crazy old world, I think:-)

The Sunday newspaper was just as funny as a Chaos Magickian, too:-)

"The Olympic Games in Japan will be held without spectators at venues in and around the capital after a spike in coronavirus infections.
