Pearly Dewdrops' Drops?

Chris Knowles at 'The Secret Sun' has really hit on this Pearl/Siren/Mermaid meme floating around in the "collective unconsciousness", social media and pop culture at the moment.
I saw this story about Queensland jeweler Margot McKinney in last Saturday's Queensland newspaper and couldn't help thinking Knowlesey would love this piece of pearly news to back up his pursuit of all things pearly swimming around in the media.
Song To The Siren by Bonniemarie
Cursed Songs?
Certainly interesting times we are all swimming in it would seem.
And on the subject of rocks, what is the name of the building in the Rock's new movie 'Skyscraper'?-)
I guess we'll have to hang on until it hits the cinema screens on July 13th (That's Friday the 13th by the way) in the USA and July 12th in my part of the planet.
I must say that it looks like a pearler of a film by the looks of the trailer.
Oh, and this synchy/sinky story in the same Saturday paper nearly swam right past me.
Ex-HMAS Tobruk scuttled off the Queensland coast to become dive wreck
"After the event was rescheduled twice due to unfavourable weather conditions, the ship was towed overnight to a spot halfway between Bundaberg and Hervey Bay, about 15 nautical miles off the coast.
Queensland Minister for the Environment and Great Barrier Reef Leeanne Enoch used a flare to signal for the scuttling to begin, before the valves were opened and the ship was flooded and sunk.
It was the culmination of a five-year local campaign to use a military vessel to create an artificial reef in the area.
Project manager Steve Hoseck said it had taken months of work to reach this point, but the ship would be a unique drawcard for divers from across the world.
"

Hmm ... that would be off the FRASER Island
coast too, more or less
According to the newspaper story concerns have been raised over whether the scuttled Ex-HMAS Tobruk will be safe for divers, with authorities confirming "she" came to rest on her STARboard side.
"Melissa Brunning got the shock of her life when a shark she was feeding latched onto her index finger and dragged her into the water."

  1. Outstanding work, Dazza. The Gyre ever widens. And Disney World too? Amazing.

  2. I don't know about Disney World, but the Dream World theme park on the Gold Coast are in a lot of hot water over the four drowning deaths that happened over a year ago on their Thunder River Rapids ride -
