Is It All Just Pooh What's Said and Felt About Trees?

My 27 year old son asked me out to the cinema on September 13th to see the movie 'Christopher Robin' with him, which after watching the movie seemed a little ironic to me.

Apart from the Taoist qualities to the Pooh story I couldn't help seeing a few shamanic qualities to this movie also with the traveling through trees to get to the forest message.
I then watched the 'Melanie Brear interview Trees : Glastonbury' You Tube above when I discovered the 'Wake Up Screaming' site that I wrote about in this recent post -

Now all of the above, plus an advert I saw in an 'Ocean Road' magazine I picked up in Byron Bay at my hotel reception area, while staying down there for the weekend of the Byron Writers Festival drew me to visit a tree that I never knew existed until seeing it in the magazine, and the tree was in my hometown of Brisbane.

I wasn't sure how to get out to Wolston Farmhouse, as I don't head west too often and hadn't been out that way for a good number of years, so I DuckDuckGo-ed a satellite map of the farm and it was basically two long roads I had to remember to take from my home suburb.

After figuring my trip out to the farm on Thursday night I started talking myself out of going, reasoning I could always go another weekend or Friday.
But then a counter thought entered my head and basically said "Just go!"
Then I reasoned I can't be bothered to drive out and back to see a big tree. 

But then I turned the page over in the book that I was reading and saw the big pear tree Jung sat under to practice the I Ching, and saw the magazine lying on the floor open to the tree and the farm and thought OK, off to the farm on Friday it is then.

Then the latest 'This Jungian Life' podcast came on my iPad and it was about Jung and the I Ching, so that convinced me even more that I had to go for a drive to see this tree and farmhouse.
And I did, but that is for another post, which I will link back to this post when I write it.

It was definitely worth the trip and there is more than just one big tree to see there, too. 

Not to mention the bird life (and death) that is around the farm.

To See Ourselves Trapped in Our Cage?

I think I'll never see something deeper and more meaningful as a tree ... a bird ... a kangaroo ... or a poo(h);-)
