I saw two mother with child weather images in the news yesterday which were quite contrasting images indeed and does make you think what kind of world are mothers and fathers bringing their kids into in the coming decades ahead ... well, hopefully ahead that is.

Not that there ever was or will be a good time to bring a child into this world, that is.
Such is life, as they say.
And were Channel 9 just trying to promote the fact that they got the Australian Open Tennis coverage off rivals Channel 7 by referring to hail the size of tennis balls all the time?
Usually, we hear about hail the size of golf or cricket balls.
Balls that you really wouldn't want to be hit with.

Mother who shielded baby from hail stones during supercell storm in line for bravery award
"A young mother who was pelted with giant hailstones while shielding her baby during freak south-east Queensland thunderstorms is being nominated for a bravery award.
Fiona Simpson, 23, was left with horrific bruising and cuts after hail blew out her car windshield last week near Kingaroy, however she managed to protect her baby girl the brunt of the storm.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said it was an "extraordinary" story and promised to recommend Ms Simpson for a bravery award."
