I listened to this latest Ryan Singer podcast over at his 'Me & Paranormal You' website, where he talks to Ester about her growing up Jewish and her being told that being born Jewish means that "everyone wants to kill you".
"Comedian Ester Steinberg stops by for an amazing chat about magic, Jewish mysticism, and the balancing of the cosmic scales.
We have a great time as she walks me through what it means to grow up with sisters who all at one time or another were on their path to be find Jewish witches.
She’s hilarious and you’ll love the chat.
She is recording her debut album on 11/7 at the Punchline in San Francisco, so check go watch the show."

Having Jewish heritage myself and while not being a religious Jew, it is always something that sits as a half-truth in my mind that "everybody wants to kill you", especially when I see a news story like this one below when I woke up this morning.
Ester's words seemed a little scarier in my mind right then.
But in this world everybody seems to want to kill everybody for being something other than themselves, whether that other is being Gay, Democratic, Republican, Left, Right, Asian, black skinned, white skinned, Female, Male, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Pagan, Catholic, Protestant ... pick or be born into a side and someone will hate you enough to want to kill you it seems.
Peace?
