WHAT'S THIS TAO ALL ABOUT?

Since I've been reading Wayne Dyer's book 'You'll See It When You Believe It' and noticing how much Wayne was into Taoism, I decided it was time I learned more about Taoism, so I started searching for podcasts on Taoism.
Something Strange Happened to Me on THE WAY out of a Taoist Temple
Evergreen Taoist Church of Australia
The best one I came across for a layperson like myself was a podcast called 'What's This Tao All About?' by Dr. Carl Totton and Tod Perry.
The first one I listened to was the latest podcast uploaded on what would have been my 30th wedding anniversary, November 19th, 2018, ironically enough -
Show # 50 The Meaning of Life and Chapter 38
Then I went right back to the first podcast episode, which was uploaded on August 28th, 2015, and decided I would start listening to all the episodes in a chronological order -
Episode 1 — The First Step
And while I didn't realize it at the time, I notice now that this first podcast was uploaded the day before Wayne Dyer passed away.
I was wondering why I had never heard of this podcast before, or of Dr. Carl Totton and then this morning I was listening to an 'Occulture' podcast featuring Austin Coppock
73. Austin Coppock in “The Celestial Art” // Qigong, Decans, Lunar Mansions, Time
And Austin mentions Dr. Carl Totton and the Taoist Institute in LA.
And the only reason I was listening to that podcast was because Gordon White at 'Rune Soup' is doing a live podcast with Austin on Thursday -
So does s#it happen, or Pooh just is?-)
Life is full of COINcidence?
So, what's this Tao all about?

  2. August 29th, 708 – Copper coins are minted in Japan for the first time (Traditional Japanese date: August 10, 708).
    COINcidence?-)
August 29th, 1949 – Soviet atomic bomb project: The Soviet Union tests its first atomic bomb, known as First Lightning or Joe 1, at Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan?
August 29th, 1997 – Netflix is launched as an internet DVD rental service?
August 29th, 2005 – Hurricane Katrina devastates much of the U.S. Gulf Coast from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle, killing up to 1,836 people and causing $125 billion in damage?
Probably none of those things I'm guessing, right Chris?
So how about August 29th, 1963, the birthday of one Elizabeth Davidson Fraser?
I'll call BINGO on that one;-)

  3. I find it kind of amusing that that bastard Charles Manson died on my old wedding anniversary of November 19th.
I can't figure out if that was a good sign in hindsight, or not:-)
Getting married on that date didn't turn out too well for my marriage, but at least I got two good boys from that union.
Now when November 19th comes around I joke that the date rings a bell and when friends and family ask wasn't that your wedding anniversary, I say yeah, but I was thinking that's the day that bastard Charles Manson died and went to hell:-)
Not that I believe in hell, but I'll make an exception for my ex;-)
