But I have to question the scene in 'The Offer' where Al Ruddy is watching Francis shooting a scene in New York and is threatened by Joe Gallo to give him money which Al has ear-marked in the budget for shooting scenes in Italy.
Personally, I liked this TV series, and the irony wasn't lost on me when Dan (a Jewish guy) playing Francis (an Italian guy) complains that Jimmy Caan (a Jewish guy) isn't even Italian:-)

In the show ... SPOILER ALERT ... Joe gets shot and killed that day and it's problem solved, Al still has the money to shoot scenes in Italy.
But, according to Wikipedia Joe Gallo was killed on April 7th, 1972 and 'The Godfather' was released in March, 1972, so how did that make any sense, as far as not having the money to shoot in Italy if Gallo was still alive after 'The Godfather' hit cinema screens?
And Al Ruddy is one of the producers of 'The Offer', so you would think he should know what really happened while making 'The Godfather'?

I guess it was only based on a "true" Hollywood story, right;-)
