But if you don't pay a subscription to StatCounter like me, then the hit counter just gives you a rough ballpark figure it seems.
"StatCounter is a web traffic analysis website started in 1999.
Access to basic services is free and advanced services can cost between US$5 and US$119 a month.
StatCounter is based in Dublin, Ireland.
The statistics from StatCounter are used to compute web usage share for example.
As of May 2019, StatCounter is used on 0.9% of all websites."
I've thought about getting rid of it from my blog, as I find the free version wildly inaccurate.

The hit count would probably be more like 2,500,000, but then who knows how many "real hits" you get to your site with all the spam-bots and readers who couldn't be bothered really reading anything written at your blog/website?
I guess it looks kind of impressive to see that figure, but it really doesn't mean that much in the long run to be honest.
And to think StatCounter was started in 1999, the lead up year to the Y2K panic that fizzed out like 2012 end of the world garbage (and thank God that one did).
You just can't count on anything being right in the times we live in, can ya?
