I wrote a post at the end of August about Gordon White traveling to the northern hemisphere of the planet to do a talk in a basement about looking at the night sky and about how a meteor was due around that night of the talk -

And now a week after Gordon's get together in the northern hemisphere a meteor lights up the skies below over Gordon's home Australian state of Tasmania, but he is still above watching the skies ironically:-)

I guess some events just can't be forecast ahead of time when it comes to looking at the stars:-)
