Fiction Predictions?

When I was searching for podcasts that Stephen King had been on to get what his novel 'Doctor Sleep' was about, compared to the movie version -
Alone on a Desert Island Every Man is King and Every Woman is Queen?
I stumbled across a podcast called 'Fiction Prediction' that featured King's 40 year old book 'The Dead Zone' and the eerie parallels between the guy who becomes the POTUS in King's story and the guy who is the POTUS now.
I've not read 'The Dead Zone' nor seen the movie, but it looks like these FP podcasters dig up some interesting points in relation to Trump (pardon the pun;-), which made me think of Jeff Kripal's book 'Authors of the Impossible' and how some authors such as King seem to tap into some future event when trying to write and imagine a realistic fiction story.
The FP guys dig into not just with King's Dead Zone story, but also the other writers and works mentioned on the other episodes of the 'Fiction Prediction' podcast site.
But I have to wonder if King foresaw the rise of the Joker in the zeitgeist of 2019?-)
SWAMP THE DRAIN!!!
