Fiction Prediction, "Flight Shame" and 'A Gift of Wings'?

A new global movement wants
you to be ashamed to fly

A new global movement wants
you to be ashamed to fly
?
It's totally bizarre and thought provoking in 2019 reading Richard Bach's book of short stories 'A Gift of Wings' that he wrote before hitting the jackpot with his first fly-away bestseller 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull', which was also made into a motion picture featuring a soundtrack by Neil Diamond.
Isn't it ironic that a diamond is a lump of carbon?-)
The hardest thing is
the
flying side of things
I personally can literally count the times I have flown in my life on my fingers, and that's not because of a concern for the environment, that was because in my mind the next flight could well be my last, so why fly if I don't need to, right?
It's not that I'm terrified of flying, I would fly if I had to, but I pretty much don't have to.
Although I am planning a return flight in August next year if things go to plan.
A head full of dreams or nightmares?-)

Jonathan Livingston Seagull Came to Richard Bach From Out of the Blue?
I was listening this morning to an April 2014 radio show podcast featuring Richard Bach who talks about his near fatal airplane crash, where he ran into some powerlines while attempting to land his plane that he calls "Puff" -

A short (prophetic?-) story from 'A Gift of Wings'?
I thought it was rather somewhat prophetic of Richard to write a fictional short story called 'Found at Pharisee' and published in 'A Gift of Wings', about the narrator getting kidnapped by some outlaw pilots who don't fly by the rule book the FFA and who try to warn the narrator about various dangers of flying complacency such as flying through power-lines on landings, which in real life would nearly cost Richard his real life.
You can probably guess what or who was "found at Pharisee" in that short story:-)
Fiction Predictions?
A short (prophetic?-) story from 'A Gift of Wings'?-)
I wonder what Richard's take would be on that dumb pilot who couldn't even fly a Cessna and then according to the official 9/11 story, high-jacked a plane and takes out a building with rather impressive flying and improved skills a few months later?
There's Always the Sky?
There's always the sky?
All of the short stories in 'A Gift of Wings'
and year published
So, is climate change caused by jet fuel and carbon emissions, or just the sun heating up the ocean in one of those long natural cycles that the planet goes through ... or both?
I wonder which of those two "illusions" Richard would pick, if asked?
Kind of ironic how this story about environmental choices is from the same newspaper lift-out with the airplane landing at the airport with the words "The Sky is the Limit" on the cover also.
It will be a shame if the "flight shamers" turn out to be right about flight, right?
Like Richard, we could all be in for a rough future landing, when we were warned years before.

I guess the "gift" of wings has also been a curse that has hung over us humans since Kitty Hawk.
