The Hierophant, Jung and Altered States?
Watching the 1980 movie ‘Altered States’ the other night a few images in the religious backstory dream/trip sequence caught my eye and made me think of the artwork in Jung’s Red Book and his love for drawing mandalas, not to mention card 5 of the tarot often called the Pope or Hierophant card.
