Especially since The Star card is followed by The Moon card, and how ‘Twin Peaks’ involves watery themes with the victim being discovered in the water wrapped in plastic with our Fool Dale Cooper looking for clues from his intuition, dreams and nightmares.
MacLachlan has stated that he views Cooper as an older version of his character in Blue Velvet (1986), a previous David Lynch collaboration. "I see my character as Jeffrey Beaumont grown up. Instead of being acted upon, he has command on the world." Lynch has stated Cooper's character was developed as "a grown-up Jeffrey Beaumont".
Beaumont does mean “lovely hill” apparently and the RWS Moon tarot does show a path leading from the water and up a lovely looking hill:-)
