I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert (I hate the word expert to be honest, because I've never met one … or know of any living on this planet) on Jordan Peele's reason for referencing the 2001 made (released in 2002 though) movie 'The Scorpion King', but it ain't because there are no horses used in the movie.
Maybe Jordan is using 'The Scorpion King' to highlight Dwayne Johnson's $5.5 million $alary made the Guinness Book of Records for the highest salary for a first-time leading man?
Or "in 1995 Egyptologists discovered a 5400-year-old limestone carving in Egypt known as the "Scorpion Tableau." It depicts the victory of a ruler called the Scorpion King in a battle that unified Upper Egypt, which was a prelude to the complete unification of Upper and Lower Egypt by Narmer, the first Pharaoh of Egypt. This film is a fictionalized depiction of a historical event about which very little is known. Some historians believe that Narmer, the first Pharaoh, was himself The Scorpion King."
Or maybe it was because …
Vince McMahon is an executive producer only because the film used Dwayne Johnson's ring name "The Rock," which McMahon owns.It looks like no man, or woman is a Rock … or an island in Hollywood … or this planet for that matter;-)
Life: It's Just a Ride … NOPE 🐎👽👾💀👻?
