Stepping Outside the Echo Chamber That's Re-writing Teenager's Brains?

I listened to two very good conversations during the week at the ABC Radio's 'Conversations' podcast site that I highly recommend a listen to, although it's a bit like me offering an alcoholic two more drinks on the road to their recovery, in a way.
But with podcasts you don't really have to be stuck in front of a device to partake, like someone on Twitter, Facebook or Netflix being glued to their screens.
One podcast is about the insidious way "social media" keeps you hooked  like a one-armed bandit in Vegas, paying out trivial rewards to keep you playing the machine -
How the iPhone rewrote the teenage brain
And the other podcast is about how the internet and iPhone has rapidly changed society and the way we live from about 2007 onward -
Mark Scott on stepping outside the echo chamber
I guess you've got to ask where we would be without modern technology, right?
 And that's a good question.
But some people may not like the answer to that one.
2007: an iPhone Odyssey?-)
