Australian Mint and Australia Post Release Yowie Coins?

"Australia Post and the Royal Aus­tralian Mint will release millions of $1 coins from today featuring classic Australian themes such as the Hills hoist, a quokka and an Esky.
There will be a different design for each letter of the alphabet with the first six available now.
A will feature Australia Post, F for footy, I for Iced VoVo, M for meat pie, S for surf life saving and X for the tiny township of Xantippe."

And of course, the Y coin is for the Yowie ... which I believe is just a myth, but I'm glad the Mint didn't coin a Flat-Earth Australia coin for the F coin:-)

I was reading my local paper and saw a story about a Yowie researcher claiming to have caught the heat signature of a Yowie, and on the same page was a story about the Aussie alphabet coins launch for 2021:-)

The Yowie coin has been replaced this time round by the Yabby (a crustacean) coin.

COINcidence, or what?-)
