Caroll died on December 8th, 2019, the 39th anniversary of John Lennon's murder and ironically, Caroll Spinney was living in a town at the time of his death named Woodstock, which shares its name with another town celebrating a 50-year anniversary this year, but Caroll's town has nothing to do with the Woodstock event made famous by the poster with the little bird on a guitar:-)
