Born on the March Equinox? |
Died in March |
It is the second of seven months to have a length of 31 days.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the meteorological beginning of spring occurs on the first day of March.
The March equinox on the 20 or 21 marks the astronomical beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, where September is the seasonal equivalent of the Northern Hemisphere's March.
"We'll Meet Again" is a 1939 British song made famous by singer Vera Lynn with music and lyrics composed and written by English songwriters Ross Parker and Hughie Charles.
The song is one of the most famous of the Second World War era and resonated with soldiers going off to fight as well as their families and sweethearts.
The song gave its name to the 1943 musical film We'll Meet Again in which Dame Vera Lynn played the lead role (see 1943 in music).
Lynn's recording is featured in the final scene of Stanley Kubrick's 1964 film Dr. Strangelove - with a bitter irony, as the song accompanies a nuclear holocaust which wipes out humanity.
Ironically, Dame Vera Lynn's birthday of March 20th falls on the Feast of the Supreme Ritual (Thelema) and this year was also the date of the March Equinox.
I just I thought I would throw in those coincidences for all those Christian Fundamentalists and wild conspiracy nut-bags who think the world is about to end anyway ... again ... and that the Royals, Reptilians and powers that be really do give a shit about Crowley's little Harry Potter wannabees and his channeled book and rituals.
It all makes for a good story to tell around a campfire at night and under a Super Pink Moon, don't it?-)
